Why link your phone number to a GETTR account?

Linking your phone number to your GETTR account provides additional security measures for your account:

  1. During login, use phone verification to ensure the security of your account.

  2. If your account is a Quick Account, you can upgrade to a Full Account by linking your phone number and/or email address to avoid losing account information.

Why update account information promptly?

Having accurate and up-to-date phone numbers and/or email addresses is a crucial step to ensure you do not lose access to your account. Make sure the phone number associated with your account is the latest, especially when changing phone numbers or devices. Additionally, if you haven't added (or linked) an email address to your account, adding one enhances the security of your account.

How to add your phone number?

On the mobile app:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top left corner.

  2. Select "Settings" at the bottom of the navigation bar.

  3. Choose "My Account."

  4. Select "Account Information."

  5. Click on "Phone Number" and add the desired phone number.

On the website:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

  2. Select "Settings."

  3. Choose "My Account."

  4. Click on "Phone Number" and add the desired phone number.

How to change your phone number?

On the mobile app:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top left corner.

  2. Select "Settings" at the bottom of the navigation bar.

  3. Choose "My Account."

  4. Select "Account Information."

  5. Click on "Phone Number."

  6. Choose to send the verification code to your original linked phone number, your linked email address, or use your password to change the phone number.

On the website:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

  2. Select "Settings."

  3. Choose "My Account."

  4. Click on "Phone Number."

  5. Choose to send the verification code via SMS to your original linked phone number, via email to your linked email address, or use your password to change the phone number.

Note: If you encounter issues while changing your password, contact GETTR's customer support team at [email protected].

Can the same phone number be used for multiple GETTR accounts?

Sorry, currently, each phone number can only be linked to one account. You cannot use the same phone number for multiple account registrations or associations.

If your phone is lost or stolen, promptly visit the GETTR web version to change your phone number and password to prevent anyone with the stolen phone from accessing your GETTR account information.

If you have a new phone number, be sure to update your account information.
