Users can now send GETTR points to others as a tip. Tipping with GETTR points is a straightforward way to show appreciation to your favorite creators on GETTR.
Who is eligible?
Users identified as PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) are not allowed to send or receive GETTR points and stickers.
Restrictions:
Users cannot send sticker tips to people who have blocked them.
Users cannot send sticker tips to people they have blocked.
Location Restrictions:
Users cannot send sticker tips if their current location does not permit it.
Users cannot send sticker tips if the recipient's location does not permit receiving them.
Requirements:
Users must activate their GETTR wallet to send and receive sticker tips and track all transactions.
Tipping Limits and Caps:
Users cannot send sticker tips exceeding the "per transaction limit."
Users cannot send sticker tips if they have reached their daily tipping limit.
Users cannot enter a tip amount less than the minimum tipping threshold.
How to Access?
Users can access the tipping interface by clicking the tipping icon during a beneficiary’s live stream.
Users can access the tipping interface by clicking the tipping icon on a post on the beneficiary’s homepage.
Users can access the tipping interface by clicking the tipping icon on the beneficiary’s GTok video.
Users can access the tipping interface by clicking the tipping icon on the beneficiary’s profile page.
How it Works?
GETTR prices stickers, which can be purchased with GETTR points or USD.
Click the tipping icon during a live stream, post, GTok video, or on the profile page, and choose your favorite stickers and digital gifts.
Users can enter a short tipping message. Entering a tipping message is optional:
Messages cannot exceed 90 characters.
Messages can include text, numbers, and emojis.
When ready to send a sticker tip, click the send icon to proceed.
The gifted sticker will be posted as a comment, with the equivalent amount of funds transferred from the giver to the receiver.
Note: A pop-up message will notify you if you have insufficient funds.
Tipping Notifications:
Users receive notifications for tipping transactions. Notifications should include:
Tipper's avatar
Tipper's username
Tip amount
Currency (GETTR points)
Timestamp
Source preview (if the tip is from content)
Users receive notifications when someone tries to tip them but cannot due to wallet ineligibility:
"Someone tried to send you a tip. Please activate your GETTR wallet to receive tips."
Live Stream Notifications:
Gifted stickers should be displayed in the chat, highlighted similarly to tipping messages.
Users will see the tipper's message and tip amount in the chat area.
