Step 1: Identify your account type
Are you using a Quick Access Account or a Full Access Account? Read our article about Full Account and Quick Account.
Step 2: Understand what you can do based on your account type
If you're using a full access account, you should be able to log into your account either with your username (characters after @) or your registered email via the web (https://gettr.com/) or the GETTR app. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password (Step 3).
If you're using a quick access account, you can only use your username and password to log in. You cannot reset your password if you've forgotten it because you do not have a recovery email address associated with your quick account. If you are still logged into your account, we recommend you upgrade your account.
Step 3: Reset your password
Select the “Forgot password” option at the login page and reset your password. Click here for more details on how to reset your password.
If you were prompted with the notice “We couldn’t find your account.” or “Something went wrong. Please try again.”, this could mean that you are using a Quick Access Account that does not have a password recovery option. If you are certain that you're using a Full Access Account, please check whether you've entered your registered email address correctly.
