Tipping
Use the Channel Select Menu (Drop down) from the Tool Bar to Create a Channel or Select an existing Channel. In your Channel, select Stream in the top right hand Tool Bar and choose Studio.
Add tipping to your monetization strategy to uncap your earning potential and maximize revenue on your live streaming events. Tipping lets your fans show their appreciation with whatever dollar amounts feel right to them.
Tipping is a panel that you can add to your channels. By clicking the Panels tab in left-hand Admin bar, the Panels editor will be displayed. Toggle the Tips panel to on and it will move to your active panels section.
Click on the settings gear icon next to Tips in your active panels to create a "Thank You" message which users will see after they complete the tipping process.
Note: Tipping is channel-specific. This means that if you'd like to have multiple tip panels on multiple channels, you will need to create one for each channel.
Once you Publish your tipping panel, you will see the tipping interface that viewers see by clicking on the $ sign next to the chat symbol.
All viewers will be able to see which users are the top tippers.
Viewers can select a pre-determined amount of either $5.00, $10.00, or $20.00. If they'd like, they can also enter a custom amount. Sales tax and service fees are not included in these transactions.
All tips are subject to a 10% revenue share with GETTR
Once the viewer has selected an amount, they will have the option to add a personalized message to the creator.
With that complete, the viewer will be asked to enter a payment method.
The viewer can also pay with Google Pay or Apple Pay. (Note: Apple Pay is only available using iOS or Desktop Safari on OSX, and Google Pay is only available on Chrome).
Tip currencies will update to the viewer's local currency. However, tip payouts will be distributed in USD.
Tip payouts will be distributed daily to self-sign-up users. For enterprise clients, your tip payouts will come alongside your normal payout schedule. For more information on payout schedules, please click here.
Studio admins can find insights into their tips at any time using their earnings dashboard.

Ticket, Bundle, Subscription
Paywalls, which are also called Subscription, Bundle, or Ticket Gates, allow you to sell tickets, bundles, or subscriptions.
Gates are created on a channel-specific basis. That means when a channel is gated, the viewer needs the associated ticket and/or subscription to view that specific channel.
Here are the steps you can follow to add a ticket or subscription gate to your channel.
- Use the Channel Select Menu (Drop down) from the Tool Bar to Create a Channel or Select an existing Channel. In your Channel, select Stream in the top right hand Tool Bar and choose Studio.
- Click the "Access" tab on the right-hand Admin Bar
- The site will show a preview of the gate > Click "edit access" > Click "set up access"
- You'll be prompted to choose a gate type. Choose "Ticket, Bundle, or Subscription"
- Click "Add Ticket, Bundle, or Subscription"
- Choose an existing ticket, bundle or subscription or create a new one
- Fill out the requested fields:
- Title: Name of the event
- Subtitle: Description of event
- Date: Date and time of the event
- Click "Add Ticket or Subscription"
- Select desired ticket or subscription(s) using the "Use" button:
- You can also create a new ticket or subscription by clicking "Add Ticket or Subscription"
- Note: the Ticket or Subscription name is public-facing, so consider using something like "General Admission" or "Live Stream + VOD Rental" to describe what the viewer is purchasing
- You may also add a "Background Image" to your Gate for web and mobile when prompted
- Scroll up to the top of the screen, and hit "Publish" to save your work
- Ensure that the "Enable Gate" toggle is switched to “On” to activate the gate
The gate will become active once you save and publish. You can remove or change the gate at any time by toggling the gate "Off," editing it, or by selecting different tickets or subscriptions.
Hint: to preview the Gate, simply view the Gated Channel in a logged-out state. One easy way to do this is by opening the Channel in a private/incognito browsing window.
Managing Tickets and Subscriptions
You can add multiple tickets, subscriptions, or bundles to a Gate. This is a great way to create tiered pricing.
Tickets or subscriptions grant access to a channel for as long as they are actively applied to the gate. You can also have multiple channels active with different tickets and/or subscriptions associated with each channel.
You may also change the tickets and/or subscriptions on a channel at any given time by simply toggling the visibility "on" or "off" on a ticket/subscription, therefore preventing new users from purchasing the deactivated ticket/subscription.
